LIEDER OF PRIMORSKA COMPOSERS

The first musical meeting of the 13th concert season in the castle premises of Kromberk Castle will be characterized by the lieder of Primorska composers. We invited the soprano Pia Brodnik as a guest, who prepared an exciting concert program with the pianist Aleksandra Pavlović.

During her almost thirty-year career, soprano Pia Brodnik received her singing and teaching skills from world-famous mentors (Richard Miller, David Falk), improved them on concert and opera stages at home and abroad, and at world congresses (Oslo, Paris, Vancouver and others). Today, a full-time professor of singing and head of the Department of Singing at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana, she has performed in many opera performances and hundreds of recitals and chamber concerts at home and abroad. She has recorded eight solo CDs with lieder, and her recordings, mainly of works by Slovenian composers, are also on many other sound recording carriers. She received several awards for her work. At this concert, she will be accompanied on the piano by Aleksandra Pavlovič, well-known to the Goriška audience.
