David Mozetič started his musical education at the Šempeter Branch Music School. He graduated in saxophone at the Carinthian Conservatory of Music in Klagenfurt with renowned saxophonist Michael Erian.

He actively collaborates with various bands, from smaller jazz ensembles to big bands (Big Band Nova, Big Band Gverillaz, Big Band Cerknica). He is also active as music composer and arranger. He mainly writes music for his band David Mozetič 5tet, released on their first self-titled album Towards New Horizons in 2021.

He has been employed as a saxophone teacher at the Nova Gorica School of Music since 2018. His students participate in various international and national music competitions and receive high marks and rankings.

At the festival concert he will present new compositions released in the spring 2023 on his second album.
