CLASSICAL SAXOPHONE WORKSHOP

This year’s SAXGO24 Classical Saxophone Workshop features four internationally renowned saxophone teachers who work and lecture abroad:

• Sandro Compagnon (FrancE),
• Xavier Larsson Paez (Spain),
• Alessandro Malagnino (Italy) and
• Nikita Zimin (Russia).

Each participant will have a 60-minute individual lesson with each teacher. The individual lessons are designed for the study of a repertoire prepared in advance, which may include standard saxophone pieces, arrangements or novelties.

The Classical Saxophone Workshop is intended for students in the upper classes of lower music school, high school students and university students. In addition to individual lessons, participants will take part in chamber groups or saxophone ensembles. They will perform together with their teachers and the participants of the Jazz Workshop at the closing concert entitled ALL TOGETHER NOW, which will take place on Friday, 5 July 2024, in the Large Hall of the Nova Gorica Arts Centre – Kulturni dom Nova Gorica.

Programme:

• individual lessons with teachers,
• the preparation and the study of compositions for the final concert,
• listening to concerts as part of the SAXGO24 Festival and having the possibility to analyse the performance with their teachers.

The registration fee includes:

• four individual lessons (4 x 60 min) with each lecturer,
• the preparation and the performance at the closing concert ALL TOGETHER NOW in the Large Hall of the Nova Gorica Arts Centre – Kulturni dom Nova Gorica and
• all materials.

Age group:

• intended for students of upper classes of lower music schools, high school students and university students.
