The Dohnanyi Sextet is a group of exceptional chamber musicians, which was formed this time to perform less frequently performed chamber music creations such as Dohnanyi’s Sextet and Schreker’s Der Wind, among others. The violinist Philip Zuckerman, violist Ljubomir Milanović, cellist Monika Leskovar, clarinettist Maximilian Martín, horn player Boštjan Lipovšek and pianist Lorenzo Cossi work in different orchestras. Still, they often meet at many festivals around the world. This time’s “festival” line-up was put together at Boštjan Lipovšek’s initiative to refresh the chamber music offer with less frequently heard gems from the musical treasury of (mainly) the past century. We will listen to the selected concert program for the first time in the Goriška region.
