“The brass quintet SiBRASS shows its ,singing‘ abilities – clear, homogeneous sound, beautifully curved bows and articulation of exceptional quality,” wrote Christine Gehringer in Pamina Magazine. The ensemble, which was formed in the autumn of 2011 at the initiative of the members of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, continues and builds on the tradition of the Slovenian Philharmonic Brass Ensemble, which two decades ago in Slovenia began ploughing the fallow land in the field of brass ensemble music, otherwise more popular in Europe in the German states, Scandinavia, Benelux and Great Britain. The ensemble SiBRASS presents a unique platform, which on home soil, performs adaptations and especially original works created for various brass ensembles, noble music that cannot be heard at this level in Slovenia. The repertoire with which the Brass quintet SiBRASS presents itself at home and around the world is formed with parts of the established literature of original compositions and arrangements, and at the same time, it also commissions new works by Slovenian composers. Also, for the opening concert of the new season tickets in May, we will be able to listen to the novelty of Anže Rozman, which we are already very much looking forward to.
