Contemporary art raises important questions, encourages critical reflection, and offers diverse ways of seeing the world around us. At the Nova Gorica City Gallery, we aim to provide visitors with opportunities not only to observe works of art, but also to understand and experience them within a broader cultural and artistic context.

Alongside our exhibitions, we therefore organise lectures, talks, and presentations of artistic projects under the collective title Encounters with Contemporary Visual Art. We invite artists, curators, theorists, and other speakers whose diverse perspectives on contemporary visual art create opportunities for dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and shared experiences.
