ZOLTÁN FEJÉRVÁRI, piano

One of the most captivating and exciting pianists of the new generation of Hungarian musicians, Zoltán Fejérvári combines impeccable technique with irresistible musicality. Winner of the prestigious 2017 Montreal International Piano Competition and recipient of the esteemed Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2016, he performs regularly at leading venues across the United States and Europe. He has appeared as a soloist with the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, and the Verbier Chamber Orchestra. In January 2019, Fejérvári released a solo album dedicated to the works of Czech composer Leoš Janáček, followed in May 2020 by a recording of piano music by the German Romantic composer Robert Schumann. Both albums received glowing reviews in Gramophone magazine. Alongside his international concert career, Fejérvári is a committed educator, teaching piano and chamber music at the Music Academy and Hochschule für Musik in Basel, Switzerland, where he mentors a new generation of exceptional pianists.
