Under the umbrella of the University of Nova Gorica, which celebrates its 30^th anniversary this year, the School of Arts has also been operating for fifteen years. Increasingly successful on the international stage, the School of Arts also engages with the local cultural scene in various ways. Each year, the School of Arts opens its doors to the wider community through annual and semester exhibitions, it collaborates with the Pixxelpoint festival and organizes a yearly selection of student films and animations at the Nova Gorica Arts Centre. This autumn, for the first time at the Nova Gorica City Gallery, the school presents an expanded selection of recent student works, featuring photography, installations, and animated film scenography.

Entitled We Are Here, the exhibition explores the concerns of the young generation in today’s world, while also addressing the fact that, after many relocations, the School of Arts has now laid down roots for the future right here, in the twin city of Nova Gorica, Gorizia and the surrounding area.
