Drago Mislej Mef and his band present KNJIGOZVOČNICA NOVELE

This is a collection of short stories written around the turn of the millennium, but still relevant and entertainingly critical today. There are about 100 pages in total, and the book comes with Mef’s new album NOVEle, featuring nine new songs and one hidden track.

The songs were written in a bedroom at Ljubljanska 45, on a plane to the Canary Islands, and at Ocean Spiral Studio, where Andrea F. recorded, produced, and mixed the songs, while Jeffrey de Gas took care of the mastering at his studio in the Netherlands. The album is included with the book in physical form on a USB stick or CD, and a download link is also provided.

Most of the work in the studio in Tenerife was done by Mef and Andrea F. (vocals, various guitars, bass guitar, old piano, and children’s xylophone), with Tony McGill playing the keyboards (they met him by chance in a music store) and Richard Gonzales on drums. Everything else was played at the Hendrix Radio Koper studio by multi-instrumentalist Iztok Cergolj (synthesizer, violin, trumpet, harmonica, and more).

On the promotional tour (Breginj, Koper, Postojna, Ljubljana, Tolmin, Sežana, Nova Gorica, Ankaran), the album will be performed by the band NOVELE, consisting of:

Jaša and Gregor are members of the band NoAir, Aljoša Mislej comes from the band Kikcs, Matteo Riveriani is a keyboardist from Opčine and a professor at the Trieste Conservatory, while Maj Špacapan is a young guitarist from Ozeljan who is trying his hand at various musical genres. He performs as a soloist with various big bands and jazz ensembles, and is also a member of the Nova Gorica rock pop band Madison.
